Yet another Wednesday, yet another signing announcement and yet another glove man. The club today announced the signing of 24-year-old custodian Bilal Hussain Khan from FC Pune City. Having signed a contract with FC Pune City for their reserves team, Bilal Khan was initially loaned out to Gokulam Kerala FC for the 2017-18 season. He later moved on loan to the new I-league entrants Real Kashmir FC for the 2018-19 season on.

Thanks to Bilal Khan’s heroics between the sticks, Real Kashmir conceded the least number of goals (14 goals) in I-league last season. With the Snow Leopards, Bilal Khan kept nine clean sheets in 19 league games and helped them finish third in the league. His efforts did not go unnoticed and he was awarded with the title of ‘Best Goalkeeper of the I-League’.

Highly regarded as an emerging goalkeeping talent, he is only going to get better under the new goalkeeping coach John Burridge. We hope he continues his heroics with us and he bags the ISL Golden Glove, too. Welcome to the family, Bilal Khan.
